Goofy enjoyed few activities more than spending a warm afternoon relaxing in his hammock. It was still in the backyard, in the same place as it had been for decades, tied in-between the massive oak tree and the pole with the bird house mounted on top. Slivers of sunlight broke through the cracks in the foliage above him, but Goofy did not seem to mind. He dozed on and off with a lazy smile on his face, and with the comic strips from the day's newspaper shielding his closed eyes. An ice cold glass of lemonade was within reach, sitting upon the barstool he brought out from the kitchen. A group of children could be heard from a short distance aw
81. Pen and Paper
Sam was gone. Shed left not long after Danny read through the papers the man from the Department of Children and Families brought him. Shed left right after hed signed them, the little boy, Andy, sitting quietly on the couch as the adults talked in hushed tones at the small table Danny had in his dining room. Talked. The man had talked. Danny had asked a question, maybe two. Sam had been silent.
Andy. Andrew. His son was named Andrew James Fenton. His mother had done that, and Danny couldnt bring himself to frown at it. It was like shed known she wasnt going to have much time with him, h

The Misadventures of Saki - Chapter Three
"Oh, Saki, you *do* have a fever."
Korra pulled the thermometer out of Saki's mouth and looked at the temperature. It was one hundred and twelve degrees.
"So does that mean I have to stay home?" asked Saki weakly.
"I'm afraid you do, Saki," Korra said softly.
Yes!
"But no one is home, mom," Saki said with a cough before uttering 'mom'.
"I know, but you need to get better. I'll be right back, stay here."
"Yes, mom." As soon as Korra left the room, Saki got comfortable in her bed. She let Mala leap onto her chest and get comfortable there, as well.
This was all working out so perfectly. She did have a talent of fooling people, after all

"Saki, it's gonna be okay."
"Kahen, what if they say no? We've been thinking of this trip ever since spring started... it's June now, and-"
"SAKI! Okay, first of all, you told your mom what happened, right?"
"Um, yeah."
"So, now that she knows how responsible you are, of course, she'll say yes! We're going to be there with you, so if anything happens; we'll be by your side!"
It was one of those little conversations Saki and Kahen would have. They had been planning on going to the beach in celebration of summer beginning, and wanted to go by the weekend. It was Thursday, and they wished to leave by Saturday. Kahen, Anik, and Hakoda alread

"How long will she need to stay here for?"
"The rest of the week she could start hemorrhaging again... it's completely unpredictable. She can return to the Island after that, but I'd like her to be kept under close watch. We can't have this happen again next time, she won't be so lucky. Also, Tenzin, I must inform you that because of this, the birth will be even more difficult. It could have similar effects to the degree of this anything could happen, but we'll do our best."
"I understand. Thank you, Saiyu."
Korra awoke to two voices conversing somewhere in the room she was in, one of the

Another hour passed when Asami, Bolin, and the kids eagerly arrived. The children were already awake upon the pair arriving they were confused why they were being looked after by the sentries and not their parents. At hearing the news, they insisted they go and visit Korra like Tenzin had predicted to Asami instead of going back to sleep.
Upon arrival, the children began to ask Korra a bunch of questions, mostly "how much longer?". Korra laughed when they asked these questions she wanted an answer to them all, too.
Hour after painfully long hour passed, and each time Saiyu checked t

Evening soon arrived, and the eerie purple outside the ghost shield darkened as night began to fall. Though restless, Amity Park's citizens retreated indoors to await any news.
Danny went outside, though. After resting up in his room, he pulled out the rope he had kept secret since he had been a child and tossed it over the side of his window. Without anyone knowing, he escaped the house and ran to the park where he could do some thinking alone.
The air was dead. Not even the water of the lake stirred. The trees did not dance, nor did the birds sing. Everything was silent.
Like in the Ghost Zone.
Danny sat by the lake staring at his refle
